I have a question here. How do you get rid of the sony ericsson files on the mp3 player?

Don't think you can.
I happen to think the K810i mp3 player is pretty good, even with the stock headset. I tend to use mine with a HPM-70 adaptor and a pair of sony headphones.

Update: I was able to delete the protected content using FAR manager...
