I don't know people have all different reasons for buying a device or just slating it for that matter.
I want one because it's just soooo pretty LMAO.

Guys you are missing the point of peoples satisfaction with the iPhone. That is,it works plain and simple. Whatever Mr.Jobs said it could do it does. There isn't any worrying about a firmware update to fix a bug that shouldn't be there like low sounding alarm.
Plus as someone said earlier Americans are more into the fashion of the phone rather than the technical specs. If they were into the specs they would have bought the P990 or waited and grabbed the N95 which has the same things but came out long before the iPhone.
I am here in the US and I am amazed how they have gobbled up the iPhone which basically has the same specs as my p990 but with restrictions that I would never accept such as paying full price plus a two year contract. Personally after playing with my friends iPhone I like the browser and the music player and nothing else. I have never liked IPods due to what I see as an unnecessary tethering of owners to everything Mac.
SE and others need to learn from Apple that costumer satisfaction is what creates a good bottomline.
