I don't really like any cases. Access to the keypad is limited and all the sides and corners of the handset are exposed. They don't actually protect much and make the P1i extremely bulky. No, I'll stick with a screen protector and dedicated pocket in my coat.
Trust me you'll regret it when it finally falls (and it could, when you least expect it no matter how careful you are). I used to hate cases till I dropped my M600.

Hi Guys,
At long last I seem to have found a nice leather case for the P1 by a company called Beyza Cases from Turkey. I've never heard of them but their sleeve case suits me well and looks well made. It is similar to the sleeve case I bought from Vaja for my M600 but cheaper (what isn't?!). I find such cases a good compromise between protection from knocks and keeping the size of the phone and case reasonable. It seems silly for the phone companies to go to all sorts of lengths shaving fractions of millimetres off their phones only for us to slap them all back on (and then some) with the case. Anyway, it won't suit everybody but check out the website:

What exactly do these cases protect? Every corner is exposed, the screen and the keypad! If you dropped the phone it would still end up damaged so why have a case on it adding to the bulk and severely detracting from the looks?

I do think these cases don't save much, except if you need to clip the phone on a holster. I bought the Krussel case for my P1i, and find that unless I pull the phone out of the case, I can't use the edge buttons of the rocker keyboard. I expected something better from Krusell....

normally go with Krusell but I just didn't like the look of their offering for M600 and now P1i, so I have recently gone for the Bugatti luxury leather case. It looks bulky in the pic but is actually quite slim fitting. Mind you I mormally keep the P1 naked in my top shirt pocket on business days so this is really only for t-shirt wearing weekends where I have no other pocket

I've now received my Beyzacase and have mixed feelings. Firstly, I was really impressed by the speed of delivery considering it had to come all the way from Turkey. My gripes with the case is that the leather is just a little shiny which I personally do not like and also the fit of the leather strap going across the phone between the screen and keyboard is poor. It is basically a little too wide so it does not sit flat on the phone. I noticed this on some of the photos but assumed the real thing would be better. The good points are perfect alignment of all the holes and cutouts for the various buttons around the phone and the fact that it adds very little to the size of the phone. The opening for the keyboard is also wide enough so that the case does not get too much in the way when typing. It's not ideal but I may be able to live with it - only time will tell.

@dilipc, it's true, i'd have to say that, this time the krussel offerings isn't up to my expectation, the p990 isn't exceptional

hi guys,
since i'll more than likely be getting a p1i some time soon i actually looked around for a case as well; i don't really use cases or pouches every day but only when i go on holidays (it's easier to damage your phone then, i'd say) i stumbled upon this little pouch:
http://tinyurl.com/2xdbme
it's a bit bigger than p1 itself but should provide more than enough protection along with additional room for some accessories used while on the move (spare batteries/memory cards, stereo handsfree etc.)
what do you think?

Been thinking of getting one Beyza's Universal Vertical Sleeve Cases but not sure which size to get! Anyone got any idea which one fits the P1i best?
