@dogmann
I have a SH888 at home and a DI28. Never actually used either one for connecting to the net though.

I started off with the T28, still for me one of the most stunning mobile designs, I really loved the button at the side for popping open the flip. T39 came next, technically a very advanced phone, although it wasn't quite as good looking... then T68 (in the original and nicer Ericsson design, but with improved SE firmware), then into UIQ with the P800, P910, and now M600. On balance I'm still very much an Ericsson man - although I've always been a fan of Sony stuff as well, their phones never impressed me much before the JV, and I don't see much of their influence in the SE designs since either - a lot of it is still recognisably Ericsson in nature (including UIQ).

My first Ericsson was a T28s - damn good phone in its day. Had decent voice answering and dialing. Also a very petite and light phone, very pocketable

Both! I had an SH888 as my first GSM phone (before that I had a Panasonic J analogue one on Cellnet )
Then after a brief stint at Nokia with a 7110 I got a Sony J5, then my first SE, a T68.

Ericsson forever, still have my working gh688, r320s and r600s. Actually use them from time to time especially my all time favourite cellphone r320s.
