I like the transitional affect out of this one, not ususally my cup of tea, but it doesn't slow it down.
You can use theme background - you have to edit the .ini file, just change the option from 0 to 1, I found it was far easier to do this on my pc than with quickword.
Web browser/camera/power buttons are still active when locked, but I'd still call this version an improvement.
Keep it up kwull!!!! Thanks if you're lurking!!!!

Out of interest, how do you edit the ini file with QuickWord?! I can't seem to edit...

I like that new version too, with the status bar.
What I would like to be improved:
- lock the photo/@ keys
- put the slide bar of the 0.01 version, because it's really more difficult to unlock on the P1i as there's no flushed screen
- add missed call or missed messages as in the picture below found on the web?

I gave up with QW, thought there must be a way, but that I was being stupid - glad it's not just me. maybe there's a third party txt editor out there (jtext - or was that only uiq2?), but as I don't intend on changing the settings too often, I guess the pc is fine.
EDIT:Out of interest I just had a look for jext found the uiq3 version here:
http://www.my-symbian.com/uiq3/download/search.php?name=jText
works just fine!!
There's no way I know of to change the .ini file's association though, so you have to open jtext first, then select more - file - open.

Yep u can edit the ini file with x-plore.
However I've put 1 for the last 2 lines but I can't get my theme wallpaper to show, I only get the IPhone greyish one.

you only need a 1 in the "usethemebackground" option, leave the one above blank, as I think this one refers to the built in backgrounds.

I'm a bit of a noob when it comes to this stuff, but could someone advise as to what setting I need for the screensaver to come on immediately, and for it to show my theme background?
Thanks
