8. Well i thought i had a fault at first on this, but ive since found out it works like sending a sms using predictive.
When you unlock the phone
If you say you want number for dave.
you press 3283. In sms its 3=D, 2=A, 8=V, 3=E
This this brings all the daves i have in my phone.

6. This definately is a bug. There is no way the phone should have a performance hitch just because there are 3d coordinates being processed. It is this feature that is causing the issues with media player slow down.
7. I want the options back that allow just the name of the sender and the time it was sent to be displayed within the inbox/sentbox.
8. Basically, I have 847 contacts - many with multiple numbers. Because I have so many, it takes literally about 10 seconds for the phone to discover whose numbers match the input I've done. I think this isn't on, and there should be some sort of pre-indexed feature.
My GPRS works and disconnects with out a problem so not sure on this one either.
Sorry, I need to clarify that. It is IMPOSSIBLE to disable GPRS. I have no option for GSM + 3G. The only option the phone allows is GSM + GPRS + 3G or GSM + GPRS. There isn't even a GSM only option. Even if the phone says there is, it doesn't disable GPRS always-on.

Why do you want to disable it tho.
If you are not using it, then its not doing anthing so you wont be charged.

there's a funny symbol on my k850i,; adjacent to the signal indicator which i can't seem to find out what it means, its a symbol of a phone with a cross next to it. i have tried calling and recieving and its fine. can anyone enlighten me towhat this symbol means. i'm using a voda branded k850i.

7. Gotcha didn't notice that was missing...
8. Pre-indexed feature would be speed dialing..the multisearch works great just a little slow... similar to windows mobile..you can always turn it off and do it the old fashion way...
overall i'm not in love with the k850... don't like the navigation or the touchkeys... like the w910i much mor too bad they gave it a crappy camera

Have you turned the phone of and on again?
It could be a symbol for some sort of divert? Check them, It could be a video divert or something like that.
