@ gallois
"SE Media manager (AWFUL SOFTWARE) - I bought the pro for video - It won't even touch a DIVx file. "
I can confirm that this is the case. I just upgraded my "media manager" to the pro version and it does not recognise 95% of the media I have on my computer (Divx, AVI, mpeg, WMV). AND the media manager/pc suite does not support windows 2000!!!!!
I really wanted this software to be worthwhile but now it looks as though it is money down the drain.
I went for the W910 over the K850 mainly for the screen size and the compactness of the unit. I hardly ever use the camera so the 2MP camera doesn't really affect me. But what does affect me is that there is NO TORCH FUNCTION!!!
Apart from that I am really enjoying the unit.
Oh well, at least the screen is clear and bright. Now I just need to find some third party software to convert my movies as that is why I originally went for the unit.
PS
I got the phone on an ORANGE contract and can say that all the default music and videos that come with the phone can be deleted as I did that first thing.
Anyone recommend a good video converter software and settings for this thing?

I haven't tried the headset yet (it is the standard Walkman headset) but I have used two identical ones in the past with a K800 and they were alright. I can't comment on the audio signal from the handset because I haven't taken the headset out yet (dunno if I am keeping the phone).
The loudspeaker is absolutely terrible. It sounds like somebody left a pair of headphones on the desk and is playing music through them. Lacks volume AND clarity.
very odd that the speakers sounds bad...its a

for the love of god..(the speakers on k850 sounds good & loud...and no, im not trying to brag)...maybe

have concentrate less on w910 and more on w960.....(it maybe make sense).
ps...if you want good bass sound (and usualy sound) check this out..(cost only 40 euro...have them myself...realy good stuff)..the w910 dosent come along with the headset

@ pop lover
Thanks for the advice, but as I am in the UK it costs about £17 to download the whole program. I need to know it will do what i want it do first before i spend any more money on video convertors.
Have you used this software before and does it have the correct settings for the W910i or would that be something i need to specify myself when encoding?
I really want to try it and make the most of my W910 but i am hesitant on loosing money again (Media Manager Pro)
Again thanks for your help

@King_G3
I haven't tried this but give it a go, It's a java ap that turns the screen white so you can use as a torch, should work well with the 910i as the screen is so big.
