Went along to see my mate at Vodafone and upgraded to one today. Build quality seems good, comes pre loaded with Spiderman 3 which looked good too. I took some pics in the store with it and then with the K850. I have to say that I think the K850 has the better camera no question. Also feel that the SE phones generally have a warmer look to the screen than the N95.
Anyway it's still sat in its box so I'll get it charged up at somepoint tomorrow and have a proper play around with it no doubt!

Hey, nice to have found someone who owns both beauties (k850i and n95-8gig). Please can you say which phone has a faster 'turn around' between pics? I know both are 5mp and I expect a few seconds to save the image before the next one can be taken. Also, is each and every picture of good quality or you have to take a few to get a top pic ? Please try to be as impartial as possible. Thanks

The K850 has definately a better camera than the N95 8gig. I have them both and the K850 is warmer, better colour repo, more saturation and depth. Not that the N95 8g is bad, just not as refined as the 850's.
I also picked up the new LG Viewty, and the camera on it is extreamly good, somewhere between the N95 8g and the K850.

Will it be asked for 2 much if I wanted to see the imei nr. of your n95 8gig? Where did you get it from? Sorry for not trusting you - but you say something which goes against most of the reviews. On the other hand why do you think there are so many users complaining about the k850i ?

because the k850 has a lot of quirky things that annoy the heck out of people..
the new softkey and dpad take time to get use to... the new camera button layout is more work imo... and the UI hasn't improved much at all and is overall a little slower then before... mind you everything works... but it could work better imo...
but when it comes to the actual camera performance the speed and overall performance is unrivaled...
but i think too most people that's not enough...which is why the k850 is getting weaker "scores"

Well, actually is exactly 'the speed of the camera' and the quality which seems to be a problem with the k850i. Apparently it takes 3+ seconds between succesive pics and one has to take a few pictures to make sure at least one comes out 'just right'. SE themself are aware of the problem and hopefuly will fix it with the next firmware.
