A walkman phone dosent mean it has most loud speakers.. I still prefer a headphone before the speakers..
And at last. W910 is a tinny design phone.. it's not excuse
doesnt mean it has loud speakers, but it should mean it has the CLEAREST and best sounding speaker, even if its not loud.

I agree that (loud) speaker of this phone is really lousy. I tried the speaker as "handsfree" and it was very difficult to understand what the guy at other side was speaking. When I switched to earphone then the sound was very very clear. Back to speaker - still not clear - tried with lower volume but did not improve a bit.

Imo. The sound quality is poor in back speaker. As a walkman its not how it supposed to be.first of all the location for the speaker is not build well. There is no room for self amplification . I compared the sound quality and loudness wit my k750i,k810i and k850i. W910i fails in both aspects. In other phones the music just breezes out but in W910i the music is in different tone. Keep in mind this not a camera phone or busines phone. It emphasis the music so its supposed to have a good back speaker.
Even though we are SE fans be honest to accept the flaws.

I see that some of you confuse loudness with quality. Mine is very loud but sound is crap even on low volume.
Maybe indeed only some units have this problem, but I don't have another w910 to compare. I for one am taking mine to SE service and requesting speaker repair. Then I'll know if its faulty by design or just faulty unit.

and its very understandable to sell a phone for appalling loud speaker. every one has different requirements and tastes and you cannot tell whether they are right or not. w910 being a flagship should have had a good loud speaker but knowing SE, they are sure to make intentional blunders
