I don't know about whether there is GDesk hype or not, but GDesk is godsend.

P1i and W960i owners may not find GDesk useful because their phones have 15 shortcuts (16 if you include "Today"). P990i and M600i owners are not so lucky. They only have 4 shortcuts, and that's why GDesk is a must-have for them.

GDesk is amazing IMO

i recently got a w960i and navigation on it was insanly difficult for me to do anything - just so many menus and submenus and UQI is realy poorly designed for easy of use. usualy im good at new phones and picking up all the new functions with a little play around but with this phone i didnt know where to start.

Gdesk DOES take a long time to set up if your making your own design (took about 3 hours for me) but once it is set up its so easy to use and soo nice!
peopl saying they dont like evrything on the screen: you can have different pages and links so maybe just have games/apps/settings icons plus messaging and phonebook. still looks clean and tidy and once set up properly is realy nice to use.

I must admit i tried Gdesk over the xmas period i didn't like it too much. Then a couple of days ago i thought to try it again.

I wanted to try an iphone theme, so i downloaded as the icons i wanted and then started editing the desktop to suit my needs. I must admit i am extremely pleased with it.

I am running a p1 and while the UIQ menu did everything i wanted and was easy for me to use i still think gdesk is an awesome alternative.

Most of the time the p1 isn't running anything in the background so why have all that ram and not use it? Anyways i put gdesk on, page one has 3 buttons

"call button"
"link to page 2 (gdesk) button"
"UIQ's main menu button"

Page 2 then has 16 icons all linked to my most used features clocks, messages, IM, email etc...

and the uiq main menu button is in place for anything which i couldn't fit anywhere else.

Honestly i think this is a must have program and that if configured correctly can make even p1 and w960's more accessable...

@VectorZ nice theme and color scheme and all
but do one thing for me
remove that utter shizzle internet explorer symbol either make your own or use another web browsers symbol.
for me it ruins the theme
and i just dislike ie
either use firefox, mozilla, safari, opera etc - one of their symbols
but thats your choice as its your theme:)
nice anyways:)
