Question about Swiss Manager Pro:

What is the setting you use for the SMP icon?

I used to use fixed but it's always on top while using other programs or playing games. I don't like it that way. I can hide it when I want but I don't like that either.

I've figured out that the best settings for the icon is "none". And for the task manager button behaviour is to launch swiss manager pro.

Which setting do you think is most useful?

supprised there arn't too many shouts for core player - this is THE must have app for uiq3

didn't re-install swiss manager after my most recent fw upgrade - i really dont think that the p1i needs it.

Apps i use most are:
Opera mini (although it is slower than full opera - i just like the zoom)
Core Player
Handy Safe
MGMaps (google, yahoo and msn maps. Sat, roads and Hybrid!)

I liked Core Player at first but the screen light was going off while watching a movie. I had to change some screen settings but it shouldn't be the ideal usage of the program.

And for Swiss Manager, in fact it's much better than the regular task manager of P1. It doesn't have only task manager functions but also file manager functions. That's why It should be useful too.

Let me please quote the SMP FAQ:

Q: My phone appears to have sufficient free memory, so I don't need Swiss Manager, right?

A: It is a common misbelief that Swiss Manager is just for solving memory problems on early UIQ3 phones. It is only a coincidence that, with its powerful memory management features, Swiss Manager comes handy as a "memory leak compensation". You probably use task manager, file manager and system information utilities on your desktop computer which has enough memory. Swiss Manager provides the same essential services, all in one, for your smartphone. In fact, like all other programs, Swiss Manager reaches its full potential when the phone does not suffer from lack of free memory.

Does advanced device locks work properly on the g900?.

I just need it to put a lock code on if someone tries to access my messages or contacts as I dont want anyone looking there.

Is it reliable? I have seen ratings for this software on some websites and it only has 2 stars out of 5

On the P1i, Advanced device locks is very reliable

Perfectly Locks up all the applications you choose , with features like ask for password on SIM change etc.

Absolutely reliable as far as Ive used it
