Ya glad that Se offers gps,but did u ever think that a device released in q2 08
doesn't have wifi, which has similar targeted audience(gaming n music) as
n81 has wifi and 2.4 inch screen ,and also the n82 and n95 off course, all these phone will become a around a year old and will become stable, and when SE actually releases this phone(w760i) in market, all phones released a year before n81 and n82 and n95 have gps wifi and 16 mln screen and audio jack which se w760i doesn't feature.Off course we all know the price is not going to be right and it would be overpriced. At that time all these devices with better functionality will be available for less(n95 8gb,n82,n81 8gb) or atleast at same price of w760i.
So it doesnt makes sense at all.

I think they should have put gps in a generic phone, because personally I don't need it, and I think a lot of other people don't need it to, because Gps is mostly integrated in every new car nowadays, in the end it will just be good for making the device totally expensive and as most people don't care for GPS, I guess, don't want to buy this phone, because the other specs aren't worth it.

i would have preferred 3.5mm jack and bigger internal memory, and af and flash for my money, but whatever

on the global site it say's w760 has wifi, or is this for w760c only or type error again :

ääähhhh...the best cell phone GPS i ever tried is my friends P1 + GPS puck...beats N95 like nothing..((so much faster & better)...

so if you realy want a good phone + GPS...buy a P1, (the puck comes in the price)

Pity it is still only Java for programs. Would have been nice to have proper sat nav programs for it.

Me too.

I was also surprised to read that this phone has WLAN.

I'm always a bit wary of the accuracy of the initial press releases - there have been some mistakes made in the past.

I dont need 3.5mm jack coz :walkman: handsfree are perfact. I need GPS and 2.2 inch screen is good afterall its a phone and not meant for car navigation. WLAN is so far availabe in UIQ phones only but if its java then a good initiative.
