Indeed, Babies need their own passport now, AFAIK they come by private courier anyway (2 we got last year did) so think twice about paying extra for that.

The money you got down isn't that bad considering a Turkish passport... in Turkey, costs like £200! For a kiddy one!

just got my kids' passports renewed... of course they weren't too concerned about the cost (ugg) much more interested in the pics of birds inside and the little chip gizmo which they think is fun to pick at!

Would I have to go for a eye scan thing for my passport, Lesley?

Funny thing is I have the latest Portuguese Bio-Metric Passport and it was supposed to speed things up at airports etc, il tell you that has not been the case ive had more delays than with my previous non-bio.

Not one single country I have been to has the rfid reader to read the data from the passport. I am always so glad I dont have to go through passport control in the UK...thank god for the iris scan.

I cant stand people that work at immigration/passport control...you supposed to be welcoming but yet you have a face like a sliced lemon. I alway say if you cant stand the job get out... I do remember many years back immigration in the UK always had this typical old guy late 50's never looked you in the eye and would just give you that feeling of get back on that plane hahah
