Yes, Phoenix will do the job...however, the phone'll have to be flash erased, and then re-flashed from the earliest base firmware(V.10??), having newer/updated flashes on top(until the v. you want - v.20 I guess)...not a fun process(but Nokia insist on doing it this way)......

As explained to me by my local Nokia service centre engineer......

(just to point out, you dont have the get the phone anywhere near water for it to recive water damage - can be something simpe as going into your bathroom after someone has had a shower and its still hot/steamy in there, then walking out a few minutes later, back into a colder room. can cause it....obvously as you say no, it doesnt have water damage just wanted to add this...)

Cheers for that!

I'm just saying it is impossible for it to be water damage causing the problem as it worked fine up until being reset and boxed!

dont think a amster reste can cause such a problem. to be honest, i would let it check by nokia itself, before u give it to sy... some shops might have j.a.f. or mt-box, those are ok.
