Its sad regardless of how he died IMO, although there is far too much speculation around right now.

I'm not a fan of his, but i do think its sad to see someone so young and with so many opportunities available to them meet with such an untimely end. And then to consider his poor child who now will have to grow up without the love and support that is unique between parents and thier offspring. A very sad state of affairs to be sure

NEW YORK (Reuters) - Australian actor Heath Ledger's death was an accident caused by the abuse of prescription medications, the New York City medical examiner's office said on Wednesday.
"Mr. Heath Ledger died as the result of acute intoxication by the combined effects of oxycodone, hydrocodone, diazepam, temazepam, alprazolam, and doxylamine," the office said in a statement.
