Sorry larry68 i forgot to reply to you. With a 2 year contract you will not be able to get another phone yet with them unless they still do that early upgrade thing but you will pay a heavy price. Worth asking them. O2 said they would give me a contract if i gave them 150 pound deposit. Dear god no way. That was one of my bad debts years back an O2 contract i owed them alot of money thats why.

You can upgrade after 23 months, unless it's a business contract in which case it's once a year.

And all you have to do to improove your credit it get a credit card, activate it, spend like £1 on it, pay it off, then keep it in a drawer and never use it again. Should help your credit.

I got an Orange contract with no deposit or referral on the day of my 18th birthday, and I'd been 18 for all of about 3 hours lol.

It's annoying to have to get a credit card when I dont need one, just because I pay cash, wont be offered a credit card soon either coz banks dont like people who pay it off in one go . lol

Why no credit rating when I've had same bank account with money in for 20 yrs and thats the one I gave o2.

wow only another 19 months to go before upgrade then
better stop looking at the market threads, as some of you guys swap so often it was kinda catching

Well, you need to show them that your capable of paying money off once you've borrowed it, hence the whole idea of a credit rating.

Don't you have a debit card? I mean you can't pay for EVERYTHING with cash surely? A debit card (ie not an Electron or Solo) will help.

And if you want a phone contract that badly, you'd take out the credit card lol

Well, either way, you got your contract now

I never said use the credit card, just bung one thing on there for a couple of quid, pay it off right away and then never use it again, simple as really. Doesn't really count as 'using' it as in regularly.

Hang on there,
check your credit card don't throw it in the drawer because they add insurance even though you don't want it !

I took out a Catalogue with Look Again like 10 years ago and my mother cranked up the credit on it for me, so ive got a very good rating due to that!

I don't think ive ever been refuses anything,
I just think it's sad that companys offer you stuff even though you ain't working!

ive seen alot of biased topics on that Nokia N82 here

Sorry Sean to write my life story back there lmao!

best way to get a good cred rating would be to take out a catalog and keep up all the payments, don't take a credit card as it's money on a plate lol

Well, I've never had 'hidden' insurance on my two credit cards, and I tend to think catalouges are more of a rip off because of the high interest rate

@Daedalus85,Thanks for the o2 info,
he who must be obeyed wont let me have a CC anyway , maybe scarred I'll buy too many gadgets Lol

Going back to the tread I hijacked, (sorry) is 6300 not considered a downgrade on K800 ? inferior camera and I know its only a stop gap but the battery on them is pants, we use them at work and I get constant complaints from collegues that the battery wont last the day out. More and more often I'm being asked to order in car chargers because of it.
