Hey buddy! Great to see you here! A very warm welcome to Esato! Now you know what you've been missing out on, and what was keeping me occupied through those lonely nights on sentry duty. Haha... Hengster is my good friend and former army buddy. I've been encouraging him to get a Sony Ericsson phone for a long time now, and he has finally gotten himself the K770. I like the brown one! You should take a look at it the next time we meet! Meanwhile, enjoy yourself at Esato buddy!

Not better than W580i. K770 loses in orange-yellow colors reproduction. Not to mention the lower level of brightness, and the yellowish white color compared with W580i. W580i has the very similar screen with S500i (also one of the best).
Captured in the bright environment, K770's light sensor was off (have checked it):
I have both a T650i and a W580i at the moment. The W580i certainly beats it in dark environments when the T650i darkens. But under light, the T650i brightens up and looks better than the W580i. Not by much, but its brighter and more colorful. The T650i still has slightly yellowish whites, but its less pronounced when the backlight is at full power.
Also, the W810i certainly does NOT have a light sensor.

@Radiux399, I'm very certain the W810 has a light sensor. It's located near the earpiece. Anyway, you're right, it does seem that the display looks much better under bright conditions. In less well-lit environments, the display looks discoloured though. My W810 looked pretty good under most lighting.

Heh... Not if your K770 happens to be black as hengster's is.
Anyway, as far as I know, the light sensor can't be turned off, but it does help conserve your battery. One question, on my W810, when I end a call, there's a beep tone. However, on my K770, this doesn't happen, is this normal? I don't recall having any setting for this on my W810, and I certainly can't find any setting for this on my K770.
