Wi-Fi on your tytn tough. Battery life can also be dire.

The touch hardly ever uses all the screen avaliable, they also use a smaller dock connector so some things may not work with it.

watching movies, playing games etc the touch/iphone use the full screen so I'm not sure what thomas93 means there

personally I think you will use the touch alot more than the classic, not only for better movie watching but you can install all sorts of apps easily over wifi, not to mention the browsing experience which is better than the TyTN II etc. In fact I am now close to selling my TyTN II as I am using it less and less these days.

if you are considering the touch though you may want to consider further the iphone so that you have net access all the time. its probably that on the iphone that is making me use the TyTN II less and less and if it wasn't that I had put Garmin on my TyTN II then I'd probably not be using it at all any more

Well, Iphone 3g will e out soon, with a rumored gps unit:

Also, iphone or ipod touch is much better than a classic. Why? Well, Native games:

Endless amount of apps:
http://www.modmyifone.com/nativeapps/the-list/
I have some 150+ apps on my ipod...

Plus More apps coming due to the release of the iphone sdk.

So, you want more space for just music, or do you want more functions, and more fun?

I wasn't so sure. The screen does look significantly bigger on the iPhone and iTouch !

wow! that is very close Yes, I tend not to browse on the TyTn II so much, but do so using WiFi.

if you are considering the touch though you may want to consider further the iphone so that you have net access all the time. its probably that on the iphone that is making me use the TyTN II less and less and if it wasn't that I had put Garmin on my TyTN II then I'd probably not be using it at all any more

My main reason for enjoying the TyTn II so much, is the Japanese/Chinese input for my email. I can manage my mail very well, using an Exchange Server.

I have seen Japanese websites displayed perfectly on the iPhone but I think, at the moment, there are no Japanese language input applications for the iPhone or iTouch, but I am sure something will be developed soon. I read the the SDK is available now!

My other thought is I can't afford two contracts and my Vodafone contract doesn't expire for quite a few months. Vodafone still gives me good value when roaming in Japan!

Maybe I need to check how much to buy out my contract...

@Johnex! Yes, the 3g iPhone would sort ou my roaming needs !

Hi!!

anyone here with an " After January 2008 Software Upgrade: " iPod Touch ?

I found, in many websites that the Touch has Japanese input.

Choose General > International > Keyboards, and turn on the keyboards you want.

If more than one keyboard is turned on, tap to switch keyboards when you’re typing. When you tap the symbol, the name of the newly active keyboard appears briefly.

I wonder if someone could check it for me!
