Titanium!
P800 is not supposed to be able to sync with MS-Outlook Express but with MS-Outlook. This is a totally different program and is a part of the MS-Office package. If you don't have MS-Outlook it still can sync your adresses with Windows-addressbook.

No problems syncing w/ Outlook. Not a single hitch... works even better than the old XTNDConnect (THAT was annoying)

Everything is done smoothly... even time is automatically synchronized!

Outlook sync work over cable, IR and BT!

Do a search and you'll find a lot of tips to make it work, but I'll help you out a little bit with these.... :

1. Unistall Data Suite
2. Deactivate ANY antivirus software
3. Deactivate MSN, ICQ etc.
4. In a DOS prompt or Run dialogue): regsvr32 %windir%\system32\atl.dll
5. Insert the Pc Suite for P800 CD and in the Control Panel, Add
remove programs, Choose Pc Suite for P800 and choose repair.

I did this and finally got everything to work!

You have to rememeber that after you press the Synchronize button the PC suite will tell Outlook,"Hey, I want to access you"

You have to set your outlook to let external program access it. In my case every time I press the synch button outlook will ask me,"Another program is trying to access Outlook. Allow it?"

I tried jonnor's #4 step by typing the command

"regsvr32 %windir%\system32\atl.dll " without the quotes in the Start-Run... menu

Then I re-installed PC Suite and now the Synchronize function works.

I have problems with the sync of Calenders as well, I get the follwoing error on the phone.

Program Closed

Program Main

Reason Code: USER

Reason Number:10

I have tried everything to get this to work, even reinstalling my pc to WIN2k then XP, but the same problem occurs.

The rest of the functions sync fine, i am thinking that my mailbox on exchange is corrupt, as if i use a profile with a pst file it syncs without any problems, but this is not the best way to sync.

Can anyone suggest an sollutions.

Hi!
I also had the sync problem with XP, but when I installed ZoneAlarm it worked!!
I started ZA, and then I put my P800 in the cradle. I had no internet connection running, but a window in ZA asked me if I wanted to give some programs acces to internet. I answered yes on all these questions (because I recognised some SE software), and then it worked like a charm.
Could it be a portproblem?

Could be... but I didn't have any problems from the very start... never had to reconfigure anything at all.

I had a thought though... for those of you who are having problems... were you all T68i owners before? Or are you a current PDA user? For T68i users... GET RID OF XTND CONNECT! (God that was an annoying piece of software) For those PDA users... your CURRENT PDA sync software might be hogging the sync ports.

PDA users: If you can't get around the problem, you can try:
-choose one device to sync with your PC... either the P800 or your PDA... then remove the OTHER device's sync software. Then sync the two remote devices via IR or BT to each other... it's a hassle... but it might give you guys a working option.
