I have a P990i with the sound mod & a HTC S710 "Vox" and I must say I mostly use the HTC S710 when listening to music. It really has better audio quality, the P990i sound a bit better trough the speaker though.
Using Pocket Tunes mainly on my HTC S710, sometimes Coreplayer when I need a good EQ.

w800 was the hardest to use as when transfering from bluetooth the files were onlt in all tracks. you had to create folders for albums and artists instead of the phone using the ID tags. Best one for sound quality though
w810 fixed the folder problem and had similar sound output
w580 better visuals but slightly worse sound in my opinion. but looks and performs generally better, apart from slightly worse sound on 60% of my tracks. i cant get the visuals to work and don't like them anyway.
so w810 wins for me due to the better sound quality. well i prefer the output anyway
