Well I would like to have standard flashing for smartphones. To use firmware files and flash them to phone directly, as we do on non-smartphones.

@ares, it did not have smartphone support yet. Don't know if they will add it. When my M610i comes back I will test to see if it works regardless of the absent "smartphone connect" button thats in XS++ 3.1.

I have a M610 also. Want to have smartphone flashing with firmware files like it's done on the non-smartphones.

Yeah you've said the same thing in your post above mine.

Problem is that there are no firmwares around for the M610i phones, and besides that, the phone is brown, so even if XS++/PhoneXS would support flashing smart phones we're still out of luck. There's no red firmwares for the M610i and there never will be any. To my best knowledge the latest M610i firmware is R9F010 and only available via EMMA. No more updates will come, it is extraordinary that SE even made a bunch of firmware updates for a prototype. Some retail models don't even get more than 1 year of firmware updates with some big bugs still not fixed.

So any chance of reading the flash file from a M610? If we can't find firmware file around the internet, maybe we can read the flash file from it.

As far as i know you can read your phone's flash with paid software/cables and prolly flash it back with those too. Apart from that there is no way it is possible yet (for free that is).

Like I said our phones are brown, even if JDFlasher would support smart phones the chances are that the developers are not going to focus on supporting brown smart phones, they will focus on retail phones, and the new DB3xxx platforms.

Well you are right. I know it was possible to read the flash on non-smartphones using Semctool for e.g. But if there is no way to do it on brown smartphones, we are doomed.
