Hi guys,
Sorry for late reply, little busy at work..
I'm already download SEUS file, but i haven't try it yet.
A friend told me if something happen during flashing process or the re flash is not success, the hardware will be defective, is it true?
For mile,
Your problem is 100% exactly the same with my problem, i give it a name for it that would be "unfinish booting loop".
I haven't try my SE service centre (indonesia), hopefully they would have better experience for that problem.
Miles, if you have a good news, please let me know..

It's true that in rare cases, using SEUS can brick the phone, but I've been using it for years without any issue. My suspicion is that some people get impatient and start trying to play with the phone before the process is finished, and this causes their problems.

My advice is to go ahead and use it, but be patient, it does take some time to complete, and DON'T unplug/touch the phone untill SEUS tells you it's finished. Also make sure that your battery is charged.

I suppose if you have a power cut in the middle of flashing then this too would mess up the phone

Hello Atank,

I have no good news.

I have downloaded XS++ but it couldn't find the phone. Since the phone is in a "perpetual process of booting up," - which means the phone cannot be turned on and its contents accessed. I have a feeling that this was what happened with SEUS as well

A friend of mine suggested that it might not work with Vista, so I'm going to try it with my old XP laptop. It might take a while because I'm pretty busy at work.

I'll keep you posted.

Cheers!

Last month I also had some problems with my P1i ,changed the sim card and from that moment I could not start the phone, got a gray screen but nothing happened.
Went online to SE site and downloaded sony ericsson update service (SEUS) http://www.sonyericsson.com/c[....]iceapplication/p1i?lc=en&cc=gb
my software were up to date but i still had the possibility to reinstall and even backup my files
after the update phone works so good as it did before. good luck .

it is in dutch but it is written there that phone is up to date
on the right it gives me/you the choice to cancel or REINSTALL

Hi Everyone,

I just want to ask if the re-flashing will resolve the error I have when booting up my P1i. The error message is stated below:

Application:
EikAppUiServerThread

Reason Code:
KERN-EXEC

Reason Number:
3

This was happened when I installed something but I forgot what application is that. I have unistalled all application I have in my memory but still having the same error message. I even tried to hard reset the phone but no luck.

Any idea will be much appreciated.
