which you can use on your home comp too (but you won't need it anymore, you can browse esato in all its glory on your phone in full colour).
Now someone will tell me its already happened :hehe:

Hey! It's already happened!
I browse the full Esato site on my phone all the time with Opera Mini. As for full colour? Is your phone in black and white or something?
We'll always need computers though unless they can develop phones with 9"screens that fit in your pocket.
I just see phones becoming more and more convergence devices. They will eventually catch up to Digicams photo quality and will have HD Recording too.
They will be stand alone games machines, internet browsers, and PDA's, matching the quality of dedicated products, and holding them all in one package.
Infact, they will probably no longer be referred to as phones, but as just Personal Handsets or some such like.
They would be extensions of your computer rather than replacements, and could dock with your home entertainment systems to download TV shows and movies to watch later, or take to share with someone.
And yeah, they'll all still crash too

I would like to see a small projector system stuck into a phone, shine it onto a white surface then screen size goes out the window, watch stored films, surf the net or show off photo's all as if its on a 50" screen!
I'd buy one for sure!

next to a2dp, 3.5mm jack seems so redundant
A2DP in my car, A2DP receiver plugged into my stereo, all I need now is a good A2DP headset with long battery life and I may never use 3.5mm equipment ever again!

Awesome!
instead of a crappy headset, you get a bluetooth headset bundled when you buy your phone...

If we look back at this thread 5 years from now we'll cry laughing, simply for the reason that 3 years ago, web on the phone was unnecessary, inconvenient, slow and expensive while camera, video or music on a phone were already around but largely unfamiliar 5 years ago. And 10 years ago mobile phones were only beginning to be a necessity. We're very much thinking inside the box if we feel there's nothing else to develop in mobiles. If you think it's impossible for God to keep track of all of us all at once, the idea for The Matrix movie was a form of an answer, something that told us that no matter how knowledgable or well versed we are on how things work, there's always another space to explore. Of course there's so much more than what our limited imagination can think of right now so don't worry about it, let's let those in the industrial design line crack their heads to find a new and fresh selling point.

What we basically want is one gadget for everything. And we wont settle for anything less than what is brand new and top of the line.
This is a new age, and we are still suffering birth pangs.
Man is insatiable. And rightfully so, if we didnt seek for what's better, we'd all still be lapping at the primordial soup.
