Use mine for posting forums, Facebook, MySpace, also reading product and movie reviews, as well as Google and Wikipedia, like Max said, helps quickly solve arguments about certain facts lol! And also for checking emails, as well as reading the news there's something you wana quickly read more about.

Just wanted to mention this site that some may not be aware of. It's a great way of checking Wikipedia while on the go. All pages are optimized for mobile viewing. Wapedia

One day I was at the coffee shop and decided to go to the movies. So I checked the movie show times on my mobile and presto I found what I wanted to know.

opera mini, forums of various interest, occasional banking, buy tickets*, youtube for comedy clips, train times, info on any subject, google maps & other maps, downloads, news, club listings....

*if you go on national express site & pay with card, they can send you coach tickets by text message. or buy train tickets one hour before departure (like, on the way to the station), collect from the machine without having to queue.

mobile net is very useful.

Most of the time, I use my phone as a modem (when no wifi hotspot is available) when I need to send an important email using my laptop while on fieldwork.

I use my phone's browser occassionally though in checking my personal emails (yahoo ang gmail).
