Its a British team, managed by a Brit, how the hell some people allow infantile petty local rivalry to support some bloody foreign outfit is beyond me!
Maybe you've never supported a team properly so you wouldn't know what it feels like. only neautrals spout that shyte.

I was born and bred in Manchester, so I have a true purpose in supporting them, and believe people ought to show respect and loyalty to their country of birth, i presume you stuck a pin in a map of Britain and came up with Liverpool

Well then you presume wrong. Whilst my forum name may indicate I now live in London I grew up not far from Toxteth. I've also been to 2 European Cup finals as well as the Alaves final and a few FA Cup ones too so don't try and throw the wum lecture at me.
Although I do recall you actually saying on MR that you don't support them but if there was a team for you to support it would be Man Utd. Fair dos to you but anyone with half a braincell or ounce of passion for their own club would tell you they wouldn't support a rival team. Supporting your country is one thing but if you think Liverpool fans will be cheering on the scum in Rome you are a bit deluded. Perhaps Chelsea fans but im sure most will be supporting Barca.
PS if anyone wants tickets I still have 2 category 1 available. They come with a meal before and after the game. You have until tomorrow to PMme.
Cheers

The only "scum" in football, are those so called fans who hate other teams with as much passion as they love their own.

That was rubbish. Luckily we won't have to do that for the world cup next year I think the time difference is only an hour behind us.
