I tried it and I also get an error in Opera mini mod 2.06. I entered all the settings exactly like on the third post and I can browse the vodafone live website for free. The error says the following: An error occured c:msg:Invalid host name ex=cd=4 resp=0 host=live.vodafone.com@80.232.117.10:80).
I am sure that I am using the vlive! internet profile with the right vodafone proxy and everything (else I wouldn't be able to browse vodafone live for free in any way).
Please help!

what phone are you using? Some phone doesnt support the @ tricks on java apps like my phone n3230 s60v2 os7.

I am using a Sony Ericsson K850i.
BTW I will never use anything else ;-)
