looks like its a good time to buy the w995..
im planning to actually pick one up tom...aside from the wobbly slider and the production date (though im not exactly sure what production date has the least problems)...anything else i should check out? some tips and advice would be greatly appreciated

being in Asia, the one you buy should be from one of the latest production batches. build should be good. people exaggerate the wobbly slider, it BARELY moves.

I may get one for my sister but I am also worried about the slider... I have also used candybar phones all the time so i am worried about the flat cable inside the phone. I have seen so many slider phones suffering the same fate - flat cable... Let's hope that the w995 is not one of the phones with weak slider construction.

the price reference down here for W995 is RM1635 - RM1715, Aino is RM1830 - RM1900

Where it used to be $999 (expensive), it is now $599 which is a very very good deal. To give you an idea of how good a deal, on Vodafone the W595 retails for the same price. What would you choose?
