2004 was a good year sure, but the K700i's lack of a memory card slot, limited internal memory and only a VGA camera was more the seed of what was to come the following year.
You wouldnt think simply adding a memory card slot and a high spec camera would draw people into cameraphones like it did. But it did. People started doing things with their phones they had never done before, adding music (2005 was when those cheap USB mp3 players started dying a death), adding video content and taking high quality photos on the K750i / W800i's 2mpix cameras. Im not saying its all down to
why here and now most people cannot live without their mobile phones, but when 2005 came about i think thats when more people would have started to admit they would hate to be without theirs.
People do so much more with their phones now than they did prior to 2005. They are more enriching to our daily lives. I'd hate to be without mine now because its not just an electronic dog-leesh so people can contact me whenever they want.
