So whats the current value of the C905 in the eyes of O2?

Ive been offered a C902, which can be bought for around £99 New, not refurbished.

I'm sure the C905 is still worth more than £100, i'm guessing £200ish.

What sort of phone should i be offered?

AFAIK O2 no longer supply the C905. But as Bonovox has mentioned. The W995 is the one that has dropped quite a bit in price. The C905 hasn't really dropped a great deal in price as the majority of place's are selling it for between 249 and 350 depending on the colour. From what i've seen the Pink and black models are the lower priced ones. These are sim free prices though. As for reliability i've not had a problem with my 08W45 Copper Bronze C905 and my newer black one (Plus model) has had to have the keypad membrane replaced after just 3 weeks use. Other than that they've been fine.

Bottom line is: W995's sell themselves, the C905 was pulled because the consumer market lost faith in it as soon as the faults landed. By the time the Plus model came out it was too late (and I still seen too many of them going faulty).

Ignoring selling prices for a second, O2 have a bunch of refurb C905's left because they've been repaired and replaced, like in this example. Similar case with the Pixon and C902, hence why they were offered. W995's don't seem to go wrong as such, so chances are they've got little to none of them available. You'll only get a refurb model anyway, because why should they give you a brand new one, the one you're giving them isn't brand new. A refurb will always be better condition and newer than your old phone anyway.

And attitude? Alright cleverclogs, you come work in my shop in the week leading up to Christmas and we'll see how you fare shall we?...

Yeah. He did mention that they have c905 refurbs in but advised against giving one as no doubt i'd have problems with it! I'l have to keep ringing and see what the refurb stocks like!

I see o2 have added new phones to their site, aswell as reducing price of the current ones.

Any chance i could get a better phone as a swap now?

O2 should offer you a W995. Yes it's more expensive than a C905 but your C905 is buggered. I'm pretty close to leaving O2, not long ago I thought they were great. But have you ever compared their contract deals to the other networks? I'm only on sim only and am most likely to move to vodafone. Are they likely offer me the same deal as vodafone when I ask for my PAC number?
