This one is no-brainer. It is very obvious that N8 is way better than Satio. As in, hands down! The specs and the price make me forget that Satio ever existed, or even X10.

The N8 isnt out till next September.Take a chill pill and relax. M waiting for Samsung and SE's offerings in the high end cam market. The N8 shall have no effect on the x10 whatsover. By the time the N8 releases, the X10 shall have dropped to almost the same price as the N8.
The N8 is 370 euros +taxes. The N86 was supposed to be 375 + taxes but was retailing for 500 pounds at play on launch.

'APPARENTLY' (according to Eldar) a new 'vivaz' with 12mp, at a similar price to the n8, will be shown in the coming few months...
who knows what to think when he says things though

Just like what others have said, it's unfair to compare satio to Nokia's N8 for the satio have been in the market since november 2009 while this N8 would probably hit the shelves this september. I just hope Satio 2 to have optical zoom just like the se cyber-shot in Japan. They would definitely beat that N8 if they do.

lol. Just because se 'may' release a handset with optical zoom, doesn't mean it'll beat the n8. Regardless, if your looking at hardware, my moneys with samsung, follow'd by nokia. Se, a lowly 3rd. Lol.

And what ensures that the N8 can't be beaten by a
phone?

when we see satio we said wow! Here's the same wow! When we see N8. So we've to wait and see what bugs N8 have in s/w and h/w... And obviously later devices have bettes specs but i doubt in real performance.

@jj03
I feel you're somewhat biased against SE, considering their past I kinda understand, but this SE has shown that it means business.
Sure, they still need to go at it at 100 percent but they certainly have proven that they are capable and willing.
Nokias before this N8 were below SE in hardware. What Nokia matched Satio and Vivaz before the N8?
I actually think Samsung nd HTC would be on top in hardware followed by this 'new' SE and Nokia at the bottom.
So, chances are quite good that the next 'Satio' will better the N8.

And not to forget that Vivaz is a major hit. So SE will collect big $$ from it, and i hope they LEARNED that a good device can be producet at a decent price. It has the price as the G900 at launch date.. So hope for future SE phones to be cheaper than Satio.. Still waiting to see this N8.
