And then, don't you still have to install those Nokia, Samsung, SE, and all other suites software? What's different with Zune?!
Of course not, PC suites are only optional. And also, You are presenting pros of Zune as if Android devices couldn't do that, of course they can, but file transfer is so much faster and easier, not many people use sync software. The main problem with Zune is, it isn't everywhere. I expect from a smartphone that it will work everywhere, not only on Your PC where Zune is installed -_-
HTC give you multiple scenes each with dedicated seven home screens (WTF!!) and still not implemented a landscape mode for the UI! This is ridiculous! One has pre-defined sizable widgets but you can't resize them the way you like..
If You don't like HTC launcher You can always use other launchers like ADW launcher, it's free, and guess what, it doesn't require rooting. And I bet You can't have different launcher in WP7 than thoose funny squares (correct me if I'm wrong)

@ahmad:
You don't like it ? Then don't buy it !
It's as simple as that, and that's why it's important to have more choices, OS-wise, so I'm happy with every new OS, and hope it will survive, even if I don't like it (but I do like WP7).
I'm aware that a lot of people think different, especially Android- and iOS-fanboys, they want "their" OS to rule the world, but imo with only two systems to choose from, the smartphone-world would be bland and boring.
Hence I do hope, WP7 will be succesful (and with Nokia hardware, I think it will), I hope, Bada will survive and I certainly hope, MeeGo won't disappear, because it's great !

@Marly
Agreed i think Mobile OS fanboy's are worse than brand loyalists. I don't have any loyalty to one brand or OS if something better comes along i will give it a try and if its any good will use it its as simples as that,and as in the case here with WP7. I've had pretty much owned and used every major OS available (many Symbian,Android,Bada,Meego and iphones) and i happen to think from my experience with WP7 over the last 2 months that its rather brilliant and has lots of potential which i know it will have specially with the upcoming Mango update.In fact I now love WP7 so much i've decided to stick to it for the foreseeable future.

Yes,I am definately not a fan boy of any manufacturer or OS. Variety is the spice of life. Although

over the years have been mostly my faves & I have had more of their handsets including Ericsson than any others,I still cannot just stick to one brand or OS. How boring would that be?? Android is becoming so common place now it's getting stale & boring

Completely agree! Thats another thing that has put me personaly off WP, lack of freedom to just plug it in to any PC and use it as a mass storage device, i often do that with my X10, its all these little conveniences that we take for granted. Many of the reasons why i dont like WP for myself is for the same reasons i wouldn't pick an iPhone, both have similar weaknesses for my use.
That said, i would still recommend WP to someone who wants a simple ease to use smartphone, but isn't into the iPhone.

@Marly, I won't buy it. I'm just frustrated, because I always wanted to have a Windows Mobile phone. 6.5 was very advanced, but I deicded to wait for the new upcoming WP7, just imagine my disappointment when it came out. They practically used like 20% of 6.5 functionality, and named it and upgrade! When I found out that they didn't even implement copy & paste, all I could do is laugh. Windows smartphone without copy & paste, USB Mass Storage and many other flaws, just funny. Luckly, Android turned out to have everything with practically no limitations.

Android started having acceptable functionality with Froyo! Android had nothing at the start!
WP is not yet one year old. The progress they made is huge! The rate they're moving with is incredible.
They can't do miracles after all. They should be given enough time!
As I told Microsoft are very open in their approach. They're not Apple. They are looking for bringing all the functionality possible to the platform. Working on Bluetooth transfer, Flash, they are also the first to debut hardware acceleration within the browser, all those services integration, and so on..
As said, their approach is to combine iOS's UX with top notch functionality similar to today's Android's and Symbian's and if possible even pass them!
The only feature you seem to pick on and can't accept as missing is mass storage and Zune's caging! Other than that all iOS's limitations aren't there on WP! From Mango onwards..
And concerning this fearure, if you really need it, then don't buy a WP. Simple.
But you and Tsepz can't really argue that Microsoft made another iOS! They took a different approach! And eventually, all of Android's functionality will be offered (but this mass storage) with a way better UX! To the vast majority this would definitely be a winning platform.

Im eagerly awaiting for all those features to be thrown in, i doubt WP will pass Android in functionality though, it still has much to cover, in Android2.3.4 USB-OTG is part of the OS, and in the upcoming Ice Cream Sandwich 4.0 update the Widgets become even more customisable, and it brings a lot of Honeycomb features such as Honeycombs far better notifications bar and no need for physical buttons.
I see in the very same way people kept forgetting the Froyo update when comparing Symbian to Android, they are NOW forgetting Ice Cream Sandwich when comparing WP Mango to Android, ICS will bring major UI redesigns, even more features and major tweaks under the hood such as full compatibility with the dual-core CPUs, and GUI HW acceleration, ICS may just catch many off guard. Things are about to get very interesting i must say, its good to have a 3rd competitor in there, although i wish it was WebOS instead of WP.
