Yeah x10 was excellent!! And the Ray was a surprise to me with a decent camera. But I chose the Samsung Galaxy S 2 which has excellent camera.

yeah... I think we all know that by now by the number of times you post this fact...

... but don't feel too bad about choosing 2nd best in the camera department (according to the site you frequently link to )

I agree ... and yet you frequently post links to facts and reviews from that site...

I can even quote you on Esato as saying "Fantastic gsmarena review! love that site."

or is that only true when it suits?

No not at all. I think they are a good review site but I don't agree with all they say. It's like I read What Mobile magazine & they have different reviewers in each review. And I don't agree with all of them. Not when it suits me.

An interesting (and alarming) observation

It seems that the blur on the left/bottom left of the picture is definitely a defect of some kind because look at the lady in the bikini in the first picture. I focused to the centre of the screen and I got the typically blurred left corner image.

But when I touch focused at the lady, the subject now appeared sharp but the rest of the image is seriously blurred

Lens defect or bad programming? And how come Arc doesn't suffer from the same issue while SE claims the EISA best cameraphone is awarded jointly to Arc and Arc S. Are they using different sensors as there's no other plausible explanation?

Very frustrating

I had that problem in the HTC Desire HD but software update corrected it. But I also had a defective x10 once which had a blurry lens & once swapped it was fine. But yeah I can see that.
