@Boinng
If that is the case. It is indeed something to worry about. But back on topic please.

This is a test of free antivirus solutions: http://www.av-test.org/filead[....]roid_virus_scanner_english.pdf

Most free apps are worthless in finding viruses according to the site av-test.org

In what possible way was my post not on topic?! Some claim that anti-virus and similar aren't necessary because you'd have to grant any malicious software permission to do what it does in Android and so be alerted to anything untoward. The research I linked to proves that actually, that permissions system is compromised on many handsets, meaning that a seemingly innocent app which didn't ask for any priviledges at all could still be harvesting your contacts and text messaging Nigeria in the background.

The point being, if the inbuilt user controls and security in android are broken, then some form of anti virus or security software may really be becoming a necessity.

Is the McAfee service my Arc keeps asking me to register any good?

So I installed LookOut and McAfee, which I haven't even registered my phone with, starts whining that there is a conflict and that I should uninstall LookOut.

Which should I uninstall? Given my experience with McAfee's PC products I can't help but feel like rinsing it from my phone. They are bound to hassle me looking for cash sooner or later, right?

I think it is necessary. Some virus may disable your mobile spy.

I bought the virus barrier app ages ago for my 4S
It seems to do the job I've never had any safari crashes
Since downloading it would suggest other apple device owners
To look at it for theres
