Remember that using GSM is the normal way of sending texts ie. 10p a time or whatever it is you get charged. This will form part of your allowance, ie. 1000 free texts a month etc.

Using GPRS to send text is theoretically cheaper as you send it as data, and saying a Text is only 2Kb or something means it is probably less than 10p, BUT you will pay data charges instead - not normally a part of your allowance unless stated.

I had this problem the other day when a process to do with the Messaging system crashed (came up with the standard Application Quit error message), I didn't think any more of it until I next rebooted about 2 hours later and about 3 text messages arrived as soon as I turned the phone on and entered my PIN code.

Sorry I cannot remember the name of the process but it was something obscure. I have about 350 SMS in my inbox and the problem has not recurred as far as I'm aware.
