at least nokia has more rock solid phones in terms of performance than SE. nokia and SE are not the same in other aspects; it's a fact that nokia sells more and SE not. it is very easy to market your product just as long as you have the money for it like nokia. that's why SE has to turn to the japs for help if not then they would've closed down. there are lots more phone makers out there that are better than the two.

@ppcrockar
With all respect.. thatīs utter B-S!!
Do you seriously think that marketing ranks higher than quality??
Maybe maybe marketing can fool people once but the word spreads fast and a shabby product(line) dies fast. As i said in another post: Stand up and say honestly that the t68i is a stable rock solid bug free product, well worth its price and iīll show you a liar! Sure thereīs people here who has never had any problems with their SE-phone. But the same holds true to other makes. My 6210 was reliable as an Omega watch (still is for that matter, my son has it now) So give me a break, feel free to be a fanatic but keep to facts please.
And to those claiming that "Nokia has too many models and flood the market" Donīt buy them, donīt bother! If they indeed DO put out "too many" models the redundant models will die and disappear all by themselves due to low sales, so unless you own Nokia shares, donīt whine.

they both may make phones with bugs. I deal with 8310's & T68's all day long - they both pisss me off. The major difference is that
can flash/upgrade the software.
With Nokia's we have to send replacements.
Both of the above have their good & bad points aswell - but atleast
know due to complexity & brilliance of there s/w its gunna have bugs & eventually fix em!
Nokia's 8310 probs are still ongoing - they fix 1 prob ie.8310 re-booting when texting - then another crops up, where a previosuly deleted text appears after receiving a linked text.
Yet the great consumer public still go back for more - nutters.

@ ThreeX
Yes, I do believe that marketing plays a huge role in this. I know a lot of people who have Nokias and have had them repaired 3-4 times in a year. But they still go for a new Nokia, and the only reason is "because everyone alse have one, and they are the best". They have never tried another brand they have only had Nokia's all there life. Despite that they still think Nokia is the best. That's great marketing alright. To keep people buying your products even though the last product they owned had to be repaired 3-4 times. The quality of the Nokias are bad (worst of all the mobile brands), according to some retailers here in Sweden as much as 25% of some Nokia models are faulty.
And people still use Windows, despite the fact that it is buggy as hell, and as always been (even if it is better today than it was a few years ago). Marketing once again.
I have had a few Ericsson phones... GA318, T28, T39, T68 and I have not had any problem with them. They have worked perfectly.
Sure the T68m had a few bugs in the first few months. But I bought it 4 months after it was first released, and most bugs were gone. Since I updated to the T68i software (R2B) I have not had one single problem, in fact my T68i is rock solid never crashes and never hangs (now I have software version R5C). And I do use the phone a lot. Calls, SMS, MMS, Wap via GPRS, Bluetooth. No problems at all.
I think SE should get some credit for all the free software updates they have released. New functions were added to the software fo free.

As ppcrockar said: Nokia is good at marketing their products. If
just becomes half as good as Nokia on that then the phone sell would increase dramaticly.
Just sold my 7210, had it for 3month, first week/month the poly ring tunes where fun and entertaining, but I more and more found things about the phone that wherenīt as good and easy to use as on my T68i (that I traded for the 7210
). 7210 has a very plastic feel, due to the switchable covers I guess. The headset was not working so good, only left ear when listening to radio. Batterytime was really crappy.Tried to make a phone call while charging it (the battery was almost empty, but the phone was connected to teh charger) and it died, time after time..
When checking missed call, and to check which number the person been calling from was a mess.. Not as on
phones, just tap YES and voilá there it is, name of the missed caller and a symbol for home, cell phone, work or others - and now on P800 its even more easy.
And Nokia is having a "nightmare" with phones returned for service/repair due to Aftonbladet It/mobil. But they dont want to make any comments - strange though
