does it have the latest firmware?(R8A) upgrade if it is not
are you referring to an authorized repair center (e.g. semicon) or the just around the corner ones? try to go there for assessment/repair

It's just one of those corner ones since there is no Sony Ericsson dealer in my country so the phones are sold by individual dealers.
I think I will have to spend sometime on this forum to learn about the firmware ... Had no idea it was upgradable let alone the version.
