If SE doens't supply us the update today , we should take psyhical measures against the servicepoints... maybe we can take a SE servicepoint hostage till they deliver us worldwide the mms upgrade....

just a thought.... getting upset by SE

Seems like nobody have been able to upgrade today...??? Not one singel "happy-story" here... Why are SE holding the SW-upgrade back...???? Called Ericsson Support Norway earlier today, and they didn't know when the SW would be released, only that it would happen soon... Very helpfull... NOT!

Ohh... There was one person who got his t68 updated

COPY FROM HAPPY OWNER OF THE NEW SOFTWARE!

this was posted by luguff:

I got my phone upgraded to the new MMS software. It's R1A not to be confused with the release R1A that never got shipped for the T68.
This software is near production, and is jamming. New icons, better battery stand-by time status reporting, screensaver, MMS (of course), picture phonebook, Battleships (a new game, and definately the best ever made for a cell-phone), possibility to store loads of pictures (I have about 70), new music composer (where you also can add special effects; turning leds on/off, backlight on/off buzzer on/off, set volume etc), possibility to save more than 1400s of speech notes, themes (you cannot make new themes on this software, but for the next release you can. You can still send the themes to another T68 with the same software), post-it notes, SyncML, possibility to transfer actual music clips for MMS(low quality 8khz) and the transfer goes two ways(phonePC).

This is what I've found so far, after using it for one day.

This excellent phone, just got better.
It rocks!!!

Also, latest I heard of a release for this software was March. And no, you cannot get hold of this release before that (at least I cannot help you).

He didn't get his phone upgraded! The phone had the MMS-SW preinstalled! So the conclution is that nobody have been able to upgrade so far... This sucks...

From my xperience with software upgrades i can say that those software-versions are not necessarily internationalized

What I wanted to point out is that when a new firmware is released, it's throughout the world, you can catch it from every service center that is connected to the Emma 2 server.
Suppose now that the next release is the R2C, there will be in fact plenty of R2C's upgrades, corresponding to where you're located in the world : US, EU1, 2, 3, 4, 5, Asian latin, Chinese, and so on.
The languages are different, and you don't find all of them in one T68.
And it happens sometimes that a new firmware is released only for an area in the world (let's say EU2), containing only three or four languages, like english, german, french and italan, that's why service centers from other coutries wait till their appropriate firmware is available, but in fact nothing forbids you to install any new version in your handset, if the service center allows it.

Regards,
Philippe
