Ok, they use software licensed from Ericsson... so?
British motorcycles ruled until the japs started copying them and eventually made them far superior to the BSAīs and Nortons.
Volvo and Jaguar had the same carburators once..
Whatīs the difference who invent(ed) stuff?
Itīs not what you invent as much as how you implement, catch my drift?

I've tested the Siemens S55 and altough it's a nice phone I prefer the T68. I don't like the menus of the S55. I can't put my finger on it, but the T68 menu system is better IMHO. Also the Siemens wap-browser isn't as good as the T68. I also get the feeling that the T68 screen is a little better although they have the same resolution and colour depth.

Despite the fact I've got a K7, I'm still a fan of the T68/i. Great design, nice, compact phone, nice, long battery life, loads of features.
The main problems with it are it's poor signal strength, and that 256 colour screen. Thinking about it, if you gave the T68i an integrated rather than clip-on camera (which was 640x480 anyway), a 65k colour screen, poly tones and better rf performance, it would have a very similar spec to the k700!
Edit: I actually have just bought and fixed a T68i for old time's sake, I'd use it as my spare phone if only the original seller would get back to me with the damned phone lock code!

Nope. It has been more than 2.5 years since I bought it but no problems other than the 8 button not pressing. I didn't use it for more than 1.5 years, but I am now because my T610 broke down!..
(Oh well, it is time for a new K700i!..)
