There are added games and no memory consumed?? I guess there are deleted predefined items... Law of conservation of mass: MASS IN is equal to MASS OUT. if there are no deletion made then, they added some memory. THEREFORE, i conclude that it is possible to increase the T68i memory to 2MB or more. :-D This message was posted from a T68i

Rather than thinking of it under physical properties and laws of conservation, it might be easier to understand that the T68 has two flash ROM chips in it. The AVR (8MB), and the ARM (2MB*). Since all basic modem and I/O are stored on the ARM, it's the AVR that will store and hold the extra games. SE might not have used all of the remaining assigned memory for the firmware. Also, SE might have been more organized in the manner that they used the memory. SE might have used better compression, etc..

My guess is that of the 8MB of AVR space, users did not have access to all remaining free memory leftover. And that the AVR chip can accommodate more coding in the same amount of space then allocate maybe 2MB of space for dynamic user data storage (pictures, phonebook, memos, voices, ringtones, MMS, Email, SMS, etc).

Just think, if they used up all memory in the first firmware revision, it would be rather difficult to add new features. I'm sure that the programmers left a lot of free space to change/edit/add code. In my opinion, they could have left all the games out, but ONE! Tetris!!!

I wouldn't mind going back to firmware R1A just to have that game back! But, it's too late since I cannot go back to the old T68(m) firmware once it's been upgraded to T68 MMS (T68i).

Sad to know that SEMICON will not upgrade the T68ie, but how come they have been selling T68ie units since last february? If semicon will not upgrade them then why sell, beware of buying T68ie units at SEMICON, they will not ADMIT that It's ie even if you have sufficient evidence, nor replace, and answer your claims! So what are the new profiles? In my phone there is a Handsfree profile and an In Car profile. Does this new feature appear in both? Or is there a new Handsfree Car Profile?
