The l8shop counter is just counting down to the end of August (i.e. approx middle of Q3 which is when Z1010 is supposedly penned for release). It is obviously very misleading as no-one has any idea exactly when in Q3 it will be released (and of course it may not be till Q4). There is a window of at least 3-4 months during which the Z1010 could be launched so giving a countdown in days is just plain daft on the part of l8shop IMHO!
They are also assuming of course that the Z1010 will be freely available when released when it is more likely that it will be restricted for sale by 3G operators only (just as the current dual mode UMTS/GSM handsets are).

simon69 i emailed them (l8shop) with what you just posted as it makes sense.
they say that this is not the case.
they claim to have "obligated" se into giving them an offline batch and will not be selling it with a contract.
for some reason their english is somewhat poor.
maybe they're scousers.
the only thing i could have issues with really is hoping that se fix up the headphones and that the OS on the z1010 is stable, unlike the p800. lets hope no 'emergency calls' come up.
damn! just realised the z1010 doesnt support .wav files! that means all my mp3 style ringtones are useless.
