I don't think SE will vanish as easily as we think.
They shall be here a long time.
I guess this is all hypothetical anyway... but if SE did stop working together there would still be Sony and Ericsson and I am sure they would both continue as they did before their joint venture maybe having learned a thing or two from each other.

I havent seen anything from them that the other major companies haven't done yet.

true but in the us there 3th place, and there upcomming 3g phones are great. and for a company thats so small there doing a very good job. siemens is ok, but the menu sucks, nokia noway, great design but thats it, motorola i'm no nurd man, samsung don't like the menu, smaller company's are still to far behind.

If SE would stop producing phones you could always buy one from a LG or HTC.
They are or will be using the same platform as SE, i.e. the Ericsson Mobile Platform!
You would still be having an Ericsson

I don't think Sony Ericsson will dissapear that easily (despite the trouble with CDMA handsets thats is lurking).
I was just wondering what everyones opinions were as there are very few phones out now that have all the features I want that are in my T300 which I've had for 10 months.
Nokia's WAP browser is awful!!! As is Seimens & Panasonic. Sony Ericsson's is the only enjooyable one I've used other than a few years old Trium phone.
Menu systems, Despite everyone loving Nokia's menu I personally think its a mess and not logical at all. Seimens menu wasn't that bad in the S55 I used.
All the Samsungs I used seemed to be vastly worse than SE's, (I was once a T100 user).
And Motorola is a big No. They are possibly the worst phone I've ever used.
Seimens M55 is looking tempting. Maybe thats because I'm a music freak and the fact it has CUbasis is exciting.
Seems, Seimens is the only company widely available that are being innovative. SX1 looks okay too.
