They say only works on contract users, not pay and go, must be able to by pass it some how, if i couldnt use it i wouldnt have got to o2 homepage rite

You can't bypass it. The reason you can go to the O2 homepage is because they let you go to O2 homepage, but block out everything else. You might be able to get a dial-up account with internet provider and use that, but that will be rather expensive...

Just rung again, guy said got wrong Gprs settings and need to download rite ones to use on laptop, then got fone call off o2 saying that guy gave me wrong info, hmmm so can i bypass it?
