Keep in mind that the SW for the T68i is not avalible yet, even for
the T68i. So you can't flash your T68i right now. That's why you can't
upgrade your T68m right now. Because no one have the Firmware for
it (except Ericsson SD)

And the T68i's sold now, have this mms-software,..I have it myself on my T68i.
You are not able to use this T68i software on the EMMA2 server, with the T68m models. The mms-software on the server are to be used with T68i.
The two phones OS are different,..thats probably the reason why the two phones cant use exactly the same mms-software.
Although the softwares have the same features.

You can't flash a t68m to a t68i no because the os are different becuase emma doesn't reconize the t68m imei as one imei of t68i so it won't flash it if you could hack your imei in your t68m and put one from a t68i you will be able to flash with that software.
Don't know if it made much sense
but that is how it works,
is not stupid they want profit

oh yes wap 2.0 is a must if they are the same I belive it will come with wap 2.0, let's hope, cross your fingers because being able to view xhtml sites will be pretty cool on a t68
