I don't see how fast tap could be confusing? After all, it's just an extra set of keys incorperated into the existing keypad, one for each letter.

I agree though that the buttons will probably be too small for many people. Personally, I hate T9 and have always used Multitap so I'm definately going to keep my eye on fast tap. Might be good for me

Yeah I agree, I don't see how it could be confusing. I mean I admit for people with bigger hands it would be awful but myself it would be perfect and I also hate T9 and prefer typing in multitap. I mean it’s basically a cut down version of your keyboard for your pc/notebook and the only difference is that it is in alphabetical order instead of qwerty and I do fail to see how that can be confusing.

At CTIA they were showing off an "alpha" version of a modified LG 5450. The final handset that launches will likely be a model other then the 5450, and see a launch just prior to Christmas of 2004.
