I have to say, there are very few visible changes.

-When you play recorded conversations, they now play over the loudspeaker (better quality playback then before (the mms method))

-No change with ringtones SMS or normal...

-The menu in JAVA still flickers on change

-I havn't tested JBench yet, will do it later...

-Pictures taken with the camera appear to take up less memory!? (avrg 19kb for large size photo)

-Pictures taken with the camera appear to be clearer (might have to play around with shutter speed) on the phone screen, havn't had a chance to look at them on PC yet.

-Sound appears to be louder, but it's possible it's just my imagination.

-Themes still taking just as long to load

-1 Less click for text messaging. Now you get to skip a step (goes straight to "find contact" instead of "Number", you can still go to "number" with a new menu choice.

-When choosing word alternative in T9 while replying to message, pressing the joystick in will no longer send the message, but accept the word. (Finally!) While not in T9 word selection, joystick in will send the message.

sounds good. I think I'll upgrade my phone soon.

Do all the games and such disappear when I upgrade the firmware?

Don't wanna loose my highscores

Could you check if switching to small picture size still zooms (i mean uses only the center part of the CCD) or resamples the picture taken with the whole CCD area?

Can the recorded sounds be used as ringtones?

Small Size photos appears to function exactly as before.
You can't set recorded conversations as ringtones.

How about Java sockets ? ICQ/MSmessenger.. etc possible yet?

I'll wait around for more improvements before upgrading especially if the picture sizes are smaller. So far doesnt seem worth upgrading.

One Great important issue,
Can you check and see if bluetooth on T610 with R3b has improved the quality and connection with BT headset?
Because with R1L, there´s a crackling and very often T610 doesn't pick up calls and voice controls doens´t work...Can anybody reply?
Thanks !

wrath000, can you tell me if you lost any content (pictures, contacts etc) in the phone during this upgrade?

I lost all my messages/last call list, but I am pretty sure that's because they put another SIM in the phone to check out my ringtones

Other then that, everything stayed exactly as it was...

ok thanks, just that I noticed in the other thread about picture storage and I wondered if that meant reloading them into the phone to regain the lost memory, assuming I understood it right that you don't lose any now?

edit: don't worry. I just read your latest comment about old and new pic sizes... ta!
