And like i said, the P800 will support it whitout any problem... just a small upgrade needed and that will be no problem because it only need a SymbianOS7. Just read everything on the site from UIQ, you will understand that 's coming
Why would SE release an upgrade to UIQ 2.1 for the P800? I wish they would but they won't. If they did they would not be able to sell anywhere near the the number of P900's. All the major improvments in the P900 are all down to the UIQ 2.1 upgrade, if the P800 has this too there would be very little difference between the two phones

we know it'll just be the 65K screen and nice styling's that'll still sell to us people
who have more money than sense
well most of us do.

"Nice stylish"?? loll
It look like an old-fashionned Sony phone from 4 years ago !! He is allready "has been" before he comes out
Why not a modern and clean look like the T610? No instead of that, we get a ugly CMD-Z7 look-alike, didn't you ever notice that maybe? Even the proportion phone/flip are completly wrong, the cilp is much to 'cheappy' and small in comparaison with the size of the screen.
The Blue P800 wasn't a great color, but in gray it is quite a well shapped phone, had just could be a little bit smaller.
nb : the new has in fact the stylish that Sony tried to give the P800 but that Ericsson did denied in the past....

@blue8300
well, actually, i kinda like the old sony look. the proportions are quite fine. compared to the p800, a larger portion of the screen is showed with the flip closed, and i see nothing wrong with that. and the flip looks metallic. no offence but if metallic flips are considered cheap, den i wonder what the tranparent plastic flip of the P800 is. aniwae, beauty is in the eye of the beholder (and no, i wun say that to a nokia

). its just the same thing which happened when SE released the T310 months after the T300. i was fuming, screaming, headbanging, but later i accepted it as a different and better phone. (after seeking much psychological help)

I'm glad you've all decided that UIQ 2.1 will not be available for P800.
I'm sure your decision is based on logic and information from SE. NOT!!!
SE and Ericsson have a long history of updating older phones with new features after new phones came out. R380e/s and T68/i come to mind.
So, we have no way of knowing what's in the works. Don't assume we won't get many of the P810/P800 features yet.
In any case, who says the P800 will continue selling after the P810/900 comes out? If that's the case, they have no problem giving us the UIQ update, right?

I think the p800 looks very sleek PROVIDED you remove the flip. The flip makes it look clunky and tupperware-ish. Without it looks better than the p900 with flip.
You REALLY have to ty it for a fw days to get what I mean - you'll never go back! (PS: reinforce case to prevent screen cracking risk)

Perhaps a release for P900 from

at this convention?

Just got some news from the Sony Ericsson shop in Brussels (this is an official SE global store).
They said the P900 is expected at the end of November and that it will cost around 850€...
