I love SE...
My Daddy used to have Ericsson when I was growing up then I got the T28 for my 18th Birthday and I loved it! Since then I had the T68 and T610...
But my 21st Birthday is coming up and I can't decide what to buy next!
Motorola V600... I have been tracking it's progress for over a year now, feel in love with it's sexy design and I like the huge keypad once the phone is open.
But then the SE Z600, again I love SE phone but I think this time I will have to put it on hold. Only because I'm not to keen on the design and it's quite thick!
Overall I hope that the V600 can be personalised as much as the T610 if it does then cool! If not then I buy the Z600 later in the new year when it's cheaper.

Yup, it's a new step for Motorola... Maybe it can live up to it's funky 'Hello Moto' lifestyle

)
I'm looking forward to seeing the 7 LED caller display light around the 'M' logo at the front.
I hated Se for removing the 'on' ststus light as it was so handy when in darkness. Especially the T68 Bluetooth blue!

i really cant figure out where certain people get their information from on this forum. motorola havent been and arent complete crap. if anything, they helped pioneer mobile telecommunications as did nokia. networks in europe build services around nokia. eg. gprs- a concept bought to european networks, forced by nokia.
to this day i have not used any motorola phone as problematic as my t68i, p800 or t610. granted the user interface WAS rubbish. but anyone who knows what their talking about will tell you how vastly improved the moto ui is now.
also video recording is a feature that was pulled from the v600 at the last minute but may be re-employed by orange. as of date the v600 only supports video playback, but moto say that it will be added in firmware revisions. we'll see. im still getting one. and im sure anyone who holds both the z600 and the v600 will agree with me. if you dont, then you dont. big deal.

Cpw brochure states the v600 sms memory is sim dependent. I hope it is not. No phone memory for texts would be a disappointment. Hope the bluetooth is the same as the a830, you cant be bluejacked but can bluejack others.

I agree , lord viper. The problem is that Motorola fel behind and they aren`t able to recover.The phones motorola makes are crappier and crappier and the concepts are the same..except for the V600.it doesnt matter if they were pioneers or anything else, the prob is that they r not coping with the mobile reality. Motorola used the same UI for more than 5 years! Do u know any other company that is `client-aware` to do such a stupid mistake? Even alcatel sells better than Motorola.I used to be a Moto fan and while I tend to agree that i had no probs while using a moto, this means shit when ur phone has nothing special, does nothing special...u get bored, u want something else.They r still sleeping if u ask me..even if they will sell the v600...the market need more than a phone...

@lord viper
i've actually used a T720 for a period of time, and i find the menus still harder to navigate than most. some options are really deep into the menu, and the sms system was a bit too complicted for my liking. i still think that they are gonna score with the V600. it should appeal to most.

you guys misunderstand.
i agree that the ui was rubbish on their european releases, but the new v series is great and quick. something i noticed the z600 wasnt when i compared it to the v600. the se had to think for a second when entering a menu, a bit like the t68.
also the interface on motorolas revolutionary two-way pagers took priority. they really are clever.
i think moto concentrated on style rather than functionality. go to cpw on 3-11-03 and try out the two phones. youll see what i mean about the v600 being the better phone over the z600.
