Included in the statistics are 2095 phones covered by the manufacture garantee. In 277 of the cases, the owner had to pay for the repair himself. But keep in mind that firmware upgrade are included in these numbers. I don't know the persentage of

users upgrading their phone for example from T68 to T68i, but some of these counts should fall in under the "faulty phones" category at Expert.
We did a poll on this some time ago, and
62% of Esato users had upgraded their T68.

If firmware upgrades count, that explains a lot (not whole 52% though). Average nokia user doesn't know or care what firmware is, while siemens lets you change firmware yourself (firmware packs and instructions are available on siemens www). Even if we assume that there is same percentage of gsm-freaks for every of theese brands, which are always interested in latest FW,

phones are most complicated to flash by yourself. Nokia or siemens user buys a cable and plays with his phone. SE user has to buy credits or service dongle, so it's easier to go to SC and flash your phone for free. And i don't know if nokia or siemens services are so kind if nothing is wrong with your phone.

As I posted earlier, the numbers wer'e wrong, and Sony Ericsson has gotten an apology from NRK, and the stores wich published the numbers. There are no official numbers on Sony Ericsson, but two of the other major storechains here in Norway, Spaceworld and Nordialog, presume that the numbers are more close to 5 or 10% which is significantly lower than Nokias 16%.
My next phone will surely be an SE!!!
