The flip is an AWFULL design, also with lots of sscreen lock type apps available the flip is redundant, for people who want a "Freeware" screenlock programe, try this;

the flip sure is ugly, but without flipclose flush and lock, i just get irritated. i think having a certain degree of tactile control of your phone is important, especially when you're on the street/bike and need to send a text. you can do so without having to stop, remove the stylus and fiddle around with that tiny virtual keyboard. has anyone found walking and texting an easy thing to do with flip off? and when im done, i just flip it closed, which closes the messages app and locks the screen. instead of farting around with taskman and the screenlock program which, by the way, might not even be running anymore due to the OS low memory suicide request.
thats happened to me before. it was the same day i reattatched the flip for good. admittedly, sman's flipclosed features are a contributing factor to my flip remaining on. gripes though, about the large chunks of paint mssing where the flip tabs hit the screen border. its quite significant damage.
