would it of really been that hard to add 1900 gsm to the phone? I dont understand why phones are made these days without support for 1900 gsm. I dont care if the 3g stuff doesnt work in my area, I would buy this phone anyways, it seems much better then my t610.

I suspect the main reason that it isn't 1900MHz as well is that it would have involved too much compromise on the antenna design. Even GSM tri-band handsets have to have a compromise design on their antenna and as such the performance of one of the bands is often a fair bit worse than the others (T610's 1900 performance for example). This is one of the reasons SE created a separate version (T616) for primary use in 850/1900MHz networks. Add in the need to support 3G frequencies as well and things start getting even more complicated!
